i like how the pattern has been printed in pleats with some areas full of pattern and others block colour, it's alot like some of my pieces

creases and folds

i really liked the triangle shapes found within the creases, so from that i've done some drawings of triangles, trying to resemble the shapes of the creases, and i've traced the actual paper to get the creases exactly as they're formed. i really like the colours of this paper and would like to carry on using backgrounds like this, but changing the triangle shape so it's alot more graphic.

I really like the above image, it's how i'd like my geometric waves to look. i've been exploring triangular shapes which have inevitably brought me to geometry.. i do kinda like mathematical things and neatness! i'll scan some of my development in soon to show how i got here.. from such a free thing as waves and ripples to such a straight perfect thing like geometry!

blah. i love these designs, and the fact daul kim was a model for them makes it even better.. but eh.. i hate doing artist research, because it just makes me feel sooo unoriginal! i always find stuff after i've done some designs then i'm like.. oh.. that looks exactly like mine! great!

this is a scan of some of my rippled paper i really like the shapes and colours within it, it would probably be interesting to draw the creases to create patterns

so i've played with a couple in photoshop and i don't really like them that much, they're okay but they aren't really the effect i wanted. i'm gonna try draw some of the creases and create hand drawn patterns instead of digital ones.

i prefer this pattern to the others, the only thing that lets it down is the white background, it ruins the design. i like how its more about shapes than the actual creases.
